It is not that man does not live in his animal aspect. In materialism he lives as an animal and only as an animal. He is a rabid animal who is sedated and who has been trained to keep himself and other people sedated, otherwise they would instantly tear everything and everyone to pieces in their madness.
Who keeps the human being in his lonely remoteness of soul and thereby as a desperate animal threatened with death? Who sedates this animal so that it does not destroy everyone in its rampage? Who trains it? And who has an interest in maintaining this state of humanity, in fact in allowing it to become even stronger? Who is interested in the absence of eternal meaning in man? Of the knowledge of his true greatness and his unique ability to function divinely in the sense of creation?
Is it something extraterrestrial? Is it something immaterial? Is it God? Is it the devil? Or is it simply the universal alternation between light and darkness? The change to which everything is subject without influence? Man unites in his consciousness the earthly and limited with the eternal and infinite. Both are accessible to him. He exists in his consciousness on the terminator. On the dividing line (or contact line) between light and darkness. In this eternal change his consciousness moves back and forth and acts – or is. Exists in fear and separation or in knowledge and security. It manifests the state of the universe on earth. The universe is probably vibrating very materially right now, in darkness. So does the human being and lives as an animal. If that vibrates in the light again, then man creates true life in unity and security. Both are inherent in him. That is what makes him special. That is the meaning of his existence.
