Hate and love are at the absolute extremes of our existence. That is why they are so easily transferred. There is no balance where they are.
If the pendulum swings into the realm of fear and leaves that of soul knowledge and trust, then the person goes into resonance with the other people who are also in this realm. He goes into resonance with their fear, absorbs it and considers it to be his. This reinforcement accelerates the step towards anger and hatred. The return becomes more difficult and is almost impossible without realization of the true context or strengthening of the soul. The realization is that none of what one feels at that moment is one’s own. – Although one feels it within oneself. If everyone realized this, there would be no more fear. It would be exposed as the illusion that it is. We would realize that it is in everyone, but actually in no one. Since fear has its cause in the perception of separation, this perception would also be convicted as a delusion. There would be no more loneliness. This is so up to the most extreme situations. We see this in the examples of the holy martyrs of all religions who fearlessly went to their death. They were not in the face of death in loneliness and the fear of separation. Socrates, who had to drink the whisking cup and the night before still comforted his disciples, when it should have been he who needed the consolation. When he and the Holy Martyrs left, they were secure in their spiritual knowledge and in their humble trust. This is not for all of us. When death confronts us, we have nothing but fear of death. But we wouldn’t have to feel it that way if our pendulum wasn’t so caught up in the perception of separation. The illusion of separation is only very stubbornly, convincingly – – used to.
