Does the perception of „something“ mean at the same time the existence of „something“? Does having a sense impression mean at the same time that „something“ exists or even that „I“ as „receiver“ of this impression, exist? What does exist mean? If exist means „to perceive“ and „to be perceived“, then what does perceive mean? Why are perception and existence connected? Isn’t that just an arbitrary conclusion?
Not that what is perceived only appears to us as existing, as in a film, where what exists is the screen and the film projector and these let us perceive something other than themselves. I mean that perceiving as a whole has nothing to do with existence. That we simply draw wrong conclusions when we think that our perceptions come from something existing and show us this or that we exist because we do something that we call perceiving. That something exists at all. Whoever we are.
