In our lives, we can force many things. Be it the laborious university degree, the understanding of the functions of the new smartphone or the ability to play tennis. But we cannot force our inner development. This follows the wheel that is intended for us. Knowledge, ability, purpose and goal come there by themselves. Slowly they emerge and become visible, like the rungs of a mill wheel, which slowly and quietly emerge one after the other from the water of the mill stream, are visible and at some point disappear again in the cool water. Just as we as observers have no influence on the mill wheel, our mind has no influence on our inner development. It can only be an observer. It is a hard nut for him, which he does not want to accept. So he toils, so he learns, so he practices. But nothing appears unless it is the right time. His effort is useless, but he does not want to accept this.
The spiritual perception replaces the material perception. It is not that the latter only covers it. Covering is the method of the mind. It covers the pain with addiction, crazy hobbies, possessions, etc. because the pain is in itself and it has nothing with which it could replace it. The light does not cover the darkness either. If it becomes light, then the darkness goes. And nothing remains of it. Even if we just stand, do nothing and just passively observe the coming of the light: The weights shift and the world – while we are just standing – actually changes. An increase in spiritual perception is therefore a direct increase in security and a direct decrease in pain and not just sweet tam-tam with which the pain is only painted or over-perfumed.
