Vibration in its material manifestation has in itself the trait of matter to unite. In man this expresses itself as – unfulfillable – desire in the insatiable pain of loneliness. It makes him a rapacious egoist in the permanent single struggle for survival.
The vibration in its spiritual expression is at rest. Since everything in it is one. In man this expresses itself as inner peace and knowledge of oneness. It makes him recognise his person as an illusion and give it up.
Both states aim at oneness. Unattainable in matter. Realised in the soul from eternity.
The vibration in the harmonious centre lets man work powerfully for the good of the universe. He knows about unity and he knows about separating and joining.
But who has stimulated that which is at rest to vibrate? Who was it and with which tuning fork did he calibrate the cosmos to his OM?
