How is it with our five senses? How is it then with our soul sense?

How is it with our five senses? How is it then with our soul sense? Why is it assumed with the former that it is as one perceives it with them and with the latter often rather the doubts pile up with many?

The five senses go together. If I see something, then I can possibly also go and touch it, feel it. I may still be able to knock on it and there will be a sound. I may even be able to hear it. Maybe it still gives off a smell and if I lick it, it may even taste like something. The five senses signal: We all perceive something there together. So it exists.

Well. It’s as simple as that. Apparently. But what if something is beyond our range of sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste? Quite „real“. Quite material. Just a little further away. And if it is still new for our mind? Where it is „un-experienced“, so to speak? Then someone comes and tells him fantastic stories of things behind the seven seas and the seven mountains and our in this matter un-experienced mind does what it can do best when something exceeds its horizon (speak: lies outside of its perception): Doubt. Only when he could experience it with his senses – with all senses if possible – then it is „real“ for him. Only if it was brought to him over seas and mountains or he was brought to him over seas and mountains and he can perceive it with his senses, then he can accept it as „existing“. Otherwise not.

So the doubt of the mind does not necessarily mean that something really does not „exist“ (the question what „exist“ should actually mean, we leave out here once…), but that he is beyond the range of it, it is behind his horizon, that he has not experienced it yet. So one should not consider this doubting judgment of his mind as something conclusive. He simply lacks the sensual information.

Now, what the soul sense perceives cannot be experienced through the five senses. Man can travel over mountains and seas as he likes. He can overcome space and spend time. It will be of no use to his mind. The horizon behind which this information, this soul information, lies, is not for him to overcome. He will always remain un-experienced in this respect. But this – unfortunately principle-conditioned – inexperience of the mind in soul questions does not mean that the soul perception is a lie and a deception. It is only not experienceable for him with his five senses.

„…This „spiritual“, that is only such a „feeling“…“… What then is the perception of the five senses? Also „only“ a „feeling“, isn’t it? In the earthly it needs all five senses to be „convinced“. In the spiritual, there it needs only the one….

Pain must never be allowed to guide us. Our actions grow out of the fearless knowledge of our security in the meaning, of our soulfulness and of the eternal unity of everything. We always act in love for everything and everyone. There is no inner separation. Pain alone must never guide us.
