150 years ago, the princes lived in a princely, egoistic and careless way at the expense of the workers and peasants. They drove state cars and dined exquisitely in their luxurious houses and city flats.
Now we are all little princes! Hooray! Driving our fat state cars, dining on hand-cracked walnuts from Chile from the discounter’s own brand, living in our little empires of stainless steel and lacquer (or whatever else the princely will commands). We rule and all will be ours. At the expense of other, very, very distant people. But we want to develop them too! They too are to become little princes and live in egoism and ignorance. And then they will all be princes! Merciful or ungracious with the others in their provinces subordinate to you.
Who then is still the hard worker? Who then is still being taken advantage of? At whose expense will it be then, when all have their princely, quasi-inherent rights? It’s Mother Earth. She doesn’t want to be a prince, because service to the world is realised in her. Selfless as she is, she goes. Flayed by the oh so stupid little princes who think, say „hop!“ then the old maid will probably still jump.
