This I say to everyone who calls himself a materialist, an atheist: If you can love selflessly, if you can make sacrifices to a stranger that bring you no advantage in anything, indeed, of which perhaps no one even learns, if you feel the pain of the other and wish nothing more ardently than that his pain may end immediately here and now, then there is no separation between the two of us. Then your being is animated and your actions have their origin in an inner knowledge of oneness. Whether you want to acknowledge this or not, does not matter.
It is not more, in which the „divine“ or the „eternal“ shows itself. It is the access to an inner knowledge beyond the materiality. That’s all it is. And so that we understand ourselves also in words and do not lose ourselves in misunderstandings, we can leave out and forget all churches, temples, rituals, religions and names of a God, even a God in itself. But, that it is an inner knowledge, something supermaterial, something not measurable and unfortunately not sayable, which holds this world together, we will be able to agree on that. We will have to. There is more in this world than matter and its laws! There is simply more. And this „more“ is decisive for our survival as mankind. We must not continue to ignore this „more“!
