When the man comes home, this must be the place of his unity, the place of his longing. He must then wash his wife’s feet in gratitude for creating the haven of rest, strength and security for him, telling her about the deeds of the past day. The woman must then take him by the hands and pull him up to her in love, thanking him for all that he did for his family outside during the day. Then she must lead him to the table, happy that unity has been restored, and let him fortify himself again with a hearty meal.
That is mutual chivalry. That is the balancing of matter and soul. In the overall system and in each individual part of it.
„Man“ and „woman“ in this context do not refer to biological sex.
