Today, it seems so easy for the mind to overcome its loneliness. The smartphone makes it possible. By picture, video or text always in contact with everyone else. Quite simply. The technology regulates the transmission. The ego should be happy now, because everything it believes to be true is united in this procedure. Unity through external contact. Through sharing. That is all there is for the ego. Nevertheless it seems not to be enough. Always ON. Everything is posted, shared, liked, preferably even disliked. From the breakfast egg to the chicken eye. The ego plays this game to the point of absurdity. Why? Because the game doesn’t make you full. Because it doesn’t change the loneliness one bit. Because there is real unity only in spiritual connection. So this is only a new arena on which the ego acts out its desperate desire for true love and security. And breaks at its own limitations. Even the feeling, smelling and tasting smartphone could not change this, if the consciousness is not in balance with its soul perception. It would remain even so only in the perception of the outer separateness.
