The egoism of the individual is splintered unity. The egoism of the unity includes everything and makes itself – and with it everything – the center. Since it is the One Whole, there is nothing, which it could harm with it.
He who recognizes unity, his egoism relates to everything. Thus he serves the neighbor „as himself“. And thus serves himself as a part of everything and also the whole as a whole. Self-sacrifice is therefore the cosmic egoism. Cosmic egoism, which leaves nothing outside, is thus the exact opposite of earthly egoism, which leaves everything – ultimately also itself – outside.
