Jesus had to accept what people thought of him as punishment. If he had argued to change his tormentors‘ minds or asked to be spared, he would have lost his way. He would have got involved in the game of the reasoners and played according to their rules. To twist the truth about argumentations and to act out of fear are moves in the game of the intellect, the material world. Only by „not playing“ and „not getting involved“ in these rules, it was possible for Jesus to go his way clearly and unmixed. He was firm in his inner being and he was also firm in his outer being, in which he was definitely also a human being. A man who, full of anger, drove the money changers out of the temple. A man who felt fear and asked to let the cup pass him by. Thus, in order to remain clear and firm inside and out, he had to accept his reviling, torturing and killing as something that did not concern his true self. And he could only give up acting and let everything happen independently of his soul existence. To be firm in peace within and without. To be firm in his inside and his outside and not be guided by the external actions of his judges. Not to become a part of their game. Otherwise, everything would have been in vain.
