The materialistic social order is based exclusively on the survival instinct, the struggle of the individual (person, group, state, race, religion, class, etc.) against the other. Man, however, has advanced in his development as a living being, as a part of the world. He knows charity, he can act out of selfless motives. He knows love, which is unconditional… and he can recognize the meaning of the world. The materialistic system has stopped or has regressed the society into a doctrine of fighting everyone against everyone. It is the denial of the wholeness of man. Because: Who wants to fight when he is at home in his security? Who wants to fight all the time? To be always worried about resources? Nobody wants that. – And nobody would have to be! That’s just it: Nobody – would – have – to – be.
The inner knowledge is there. Always and everywhere and with almost everyone. But to man brought up in materialism, access to this knowledge has been buried. It has been made „marginal“ (a nice mean divisive new word, by the way), subject to ridicule, and given the term „faith“ even though it is probably the only real knowledge that exists. So, if man senses something perhaps true, he censors himself by saying, „Oha, such a thing doesn’t exist at all. Quickly get over it and don’t tell anyone. I’m only making a fool of myself. Even and especially in front of myself. I don’t want to be marginal. I want to be good and work and be recognized. And be loved.“ And so he represses and continues in his rut of the machine-man existence forced upon him, because there he can function and, so he is persuaded, thereby finds the recognition and love he supposedly needs. But his heart, it aches and becomes saddened when it once rummages in the many repressed truths deep in the basement. „Sentimental wimp!“ the machine tells him, and at some point he tells himself, „Move on! Worry! Find opponents! Be afraid! Getting angry! Baring teeth and tearing everything in pain! That’s right, my child. That’s right. This is the world and you will have to live with it…“ The true and redeeming remains buried deep in the cellar and man dies off. And materialism laughs and has a new machine….
