Man in his childhood is empty. He does not know anything yet. No experiences and impressions from outside let him argue about the pros and cons of something. He is provided for by his mother. Nothing is missing for him. – Man grows up. He forms himself by what happens in his inside and what meets him in the outside. He moves away from the safe haven of his mother and stands on his own feet. Carries responsibility for himself and his actions. Now he has to recognize for himself what life is like for him and what conclusions he draws for his actions. Which way does the scales tip? A more of soul or a more of thing? And so he goes through his life and nobody knows what may come. Only one thing is obvious: The more of soul means peace. Everything is clear and there from the beginning. Already done. – The more of thing means striving. Things seem to be so manifold. One must always go forward. Learning. Increase the knowledge. There seems to be so much. – The more of soul is unity and eternity. – The more in thing is the fear of the insufficiency and the death.
The path of mankind corresponds to that of an individual human being. Everybody knows this actually and often the term of the „growing up“ mankind is endeavored. If one takes this truth not only as a nice phrase, but as something which connects our being over the eternity as an individual with the whole mankind and if one perceives that our life, aging and dying is really depicted one to one in the seasons of the earth – in the cycle of a year – then one can recognize that nothing is separate and our life is also only a pulsating in the rhythm of being. The same pulsing that is inherent in humanity and the rotating earth and probably everything else. Earth, man, humanity. We all go the same way. As man ages, he sometimes becomes wise and perhaps realizes „The last shirt has no pockets.“ Sometimes he also becomes stubborn. If he lives too long, then he often becomes degenerate. I wonder: What will be the fate of mankind before the cycle begins again with spring?
