The volcano creates new land in the sea. The storm tide eats steadily at the coast of the island.
The energy that is dominant here and now spreads out. Consumes the other.
Judging, condemning are expressions of this energetic dominance. Space is given to the applicable law. The judged is incorporated.
If the judge goes to another society, he is the condemned and is consumed by the energy of the law that applies there.
Making plans is expansion in time.
Judging, condemning, planning are manifestations of the material on the level of the mind. They are not immaterial and cannot be separated from the simplest natural occurrence, such as the falling of rain.
The mind is material. Its plans are like potential rain. Like the time before the rain. But the rain comes one way or the other. Natural law.
All thinking at least has a physical effect. Or is physically conditioned.
Thus man without his cosmic aspect flows like an inert viscous mass into the vast maw of his annihilation. Blind and moved only by the law of matter.
It is the cardinal error to want to separate thinking from the falling of rain.
