We are no longer used to saving energy. We waste our power as if we could replace you over and over again. Both the inner and the outer power. It seems to be like that. Energy (at least external) seems to be always and everywhere available.
We can spend ourselves as much as we want in sports or professionally: Food, warmth – material power – is available to us in unlimited supply. That is why many think they will live forever. And therefore neglect their inner – their beyond. They think that this power can also be easily replaced. It can be easily replaced. Just not in the usual way in a world of matter.
It would do everyone good to have taken the wrong path down into the valley once on a mountain hike and to realize in the valley, exhausted, that he has to go back up the mountain and that he has negligently wasted his – under these circumstances – limited strength. The valuable strength he needs to still reach the destination of his hike.
With this realization, in his limited strength and in the face of a sun slowly fading behind the mountains, he can ask himself full of unease: „Will I not make it to my destination today because of my thoughtlessness – my carelessness, my taking too much for granted, my overconfidence? To my warm cozy centrally heated room? What will be? The future is now dark and no longer recognizable before my eyes. What will be. Dear God, I don’t ask You often, but let me arrive well today. Let my strength be enough. “
