Before we can love the world, we must love ourselves. Before we can accept the world, we must accept ourselves. By loving and accepting ourselves, the world accepts us and meets us with love. If the world does not meet us with love, how can we love it? How can we be united with it if we do not even love ourselves?
However, loving and accepting ourselves does not mean loving and accepting our appearance, our past, our opinions, our characteristics, our relationship with other people or the world, or our actions. Loving ourselves means discovering our inner light and showering this with our love. It means discovering our point of oneness and love and loving and uniting with it. It means to return. Once we have returned to ourselves in love, we love the world all by ourselves. Returning to ourselves is healing for us and for the world.
