Purities

When we face God, we are said to be pure. There are different ways in which this purity can be expressed. In some directions, physical purification precedes the ritual. It is an act of washing away all attachments and all taint of our humanity. A powerful act. I, on the other hand, often face God seemingly unpurified. Not washed. Just fresh from sleep and out of bed in the morning. In my natural scent. In my natural body scents and oily skin. Then I am also pure. I stand before God in the purity of being among all other beings. In the pure innocence of the animal and the plant. It is then not the cultural purity in the form of washing, it is the inner primordial purity, the childlike purity of the first human being, in which I then meet God.

Pain must never be allowed to guide us. Our actions grow out of the fearless knowledge of our security in the meaning, of our soulfulness and of the eternal unity of everything. We always act in love for everything and everyone. There is no inner separation. Pain alone must never guide us.
