Silence

Whoever goes into silence – into a situation without influences from the outside via the five senses – the knowledge of the eternal truths reveals itself to him by itself. There is nothing to do about it. Just as the plants germinate and grow without our intervention, the wind blows without our intervention and the rain falls without our intervention, so the knowledge falls on us without our intervention or grows in us or blows over to us.

The only thing is that the plant germinates only in secret. Its growth is slow. Fixed at a certain time of the year. Germination was preceded by the time of growth and maturation of the seed in the mother plant. True, the rain falls seemingly suddenly. But even there: the clouds had to rise first. To condense. The water, which falls as rain on our heads, had to flow first through the rivers into the sea. And then to evaporate there. A long way. For the wind to blow, cold and warm airs must first meet. Who can say where they come from? How far their journey was. When they began to move to finally create the raw, fresh wind that makes us breathe deeply. And so it is with realization. When it is there, it seems as if it appeared out of nowhere. But it has its way behind it. Much had to happen unrecognized in spiritual spheres on its own until it could show itself to us. And so it is with her just like with the grain, the rain and the refreshing wind. We cannot do anything about it. We have to wait until everything is fulfilled properly by itself.

„Adding to it“ is understanding. „To add“ means that the natural order is not enough for you, that you don’t trust it. „Dazutun“ means impatience, manipulation, wanting to improve, wanting to speed up. Quick solutions. Wanting to get the natural order going.

Once you have stopped wanting to „do something“, you are then surprised to realize that the inner realization has long been ready to show itself to us. That it has actually been trying for a long time before our eyes to draw attention to itself by waving and jumping. That its beauty and freshness has been wafting around us for a long time and we were just too busy „doing to it“. Surprised and incredulous, we shake our head, free it from the last vestige of „adding to it“ and learn in silence what she wants to teach us. Without improving, without accelerating, without interfering. Alone in the acceptance of what comes.

Pain must never be allowed to guide us. Our actions grow out of the fearless knowledge of our security in the meaning, of our soulfulness and of the eternal unity of everything. We always act in love for everything and everyone. There is no inner separation. Pain alone must never guide us.
